Upon arrival at Hanoi airport, a driver will meet you and transfer your family to your hotel in the historic Hanoi Old Quarter. After checking in, the remainder of the day is free for you to settle in or begin exploring. The Old Quarter, with its labyrinthine streets, each traditionally dedicated to a specific trade, offers a captivating introduction to local life, vibrant street food scenes, and the city's unique character.

Today is dedicated to a fun and interactive family cooking experience. You will be picked up from your Hanoi Old Quarter accommodation and taken to a bustling local market. Your guide will introduce you to the vibrant sights, sounds, and flavors of everyday Vietnamese life. Children can enjoy learning about local shopping habits, practicing friendly bargaining, and discovering the fresh herbs, vegetables, and spices essential to Vietnamese cuisine.
Following the market visit, head to a cooking school where a chef will demonstrate how to prepare a variety of traditional dishes. Then it's your family's turn to participate, cooking your own meals with guidance from the chef. Once prepared, enjoy the dishes you've created together. You'll also receive recipes to take home and a certificate as a memorable keepsake.
After the class, you'll be transferred back to your accommodation, with the rest of the day free for relaxation or further exploration of Hanoi. After breakfast, depart Hanoi between 08:00 and 08:30 for the journey to the spectacular Halong Bay. The drive takes approximately 2.5 hours via the expressway to this iconic natural wonder. Upon arrival, board your overnight cruise and get settled into your cabin. The crew will welcome you with a refreshing drink and provide a brief introduction to your upcoming journey.
As the cruise glides through the bay's towering limestone karsts and emerald waters, enjoy lunch on board while soaking in the breathtaking scenery. In the afternoon, participate in the activities included in your cruise itinerary. Depending on the specific cruise, this may involve visiting a floating fishing village, exploring a cave, or kayaking through tranquil waters and hidden lagoons, offering a wonderful opportunity for the family to enjoy Halong Bay's natural beauty together.
Return to the main boat for a freshly prepared dinner. The evening is yours to enjoy; you might try squid fishing, play games with your family, or simply relax on deck under the stars. Spending the night amidst the peaceful scenery of Halong Bay is a highlight of this trip. Please note that itineraries may vary based on the specific cruise chosen.
Start your day with a light breakfast on board as the cruise continues its journey through Halong Bay. Later, you'll visit one of the bay's renowned caves, such as Sung Sot Cave, Trung Trang Cave, or Trinh Nu Cave, depending on your cruise route. These caves are celebrated for their impressive limestone formations and unique natural beauty.
After the excursion, return to the boat for your final cruise through the bay. As the vessel heads back to the harbor, complete check-out and enjoy brunch on board while taking in the last views of Halong Bay. Around noon, disembark and meet your driver for the return journey to Hanoi. You'll have some free time in the city to relax, freshen up, or explore before your evening departure.
In the evening, make your way to Hanoi Railway Station to board the overnight sleeper train to Hue. Traveling by train offers a memorable way to experience a different side of Vietnam and adds an adventurous element for the family. Please note that breakfast is not served on the train, so it is advisable to purchase snacks beforehand.
Arrive in Hue and be greeted by your friendly local guide, ready to explore the city's rich history. Your first stop is the former Royal Palace, an integral part of Hue's magnificent citadel complex. After the ride, board a local boat back towards Hue. Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant and take a short break before continuing your journey south. In the afternoon, travel by private car from Hue to Hoi An, a scenic journey of about 3 hours. The drive showcases central coast landscapes before arriving in the charming, UNESCO-listed town of Hoi An. After check-in, the rest of the day is yours to relax or wander through the lantern-lit streets. Alternatively, explore local culinary delights with an optional Hoi An Motorbike Street Food Tour.
Today offers a fun, hands-on family experience in the Hoi An countryside. Your guide will pick you up from your hotel and provide bicycles for the day. Cycle along quiet rural lanes towards Tra Que Vegetable Village, a peaceful farming community just outside Hoi An. Along the way, enjoy views of rice paddies, palm trees, and local village life.
Upon arrival, you'll receive a warm welcome from the local farmers and have time to explore the gardens. Then it's time to get involved! Your family can participate in simple farming activities such as preparing the soil, planting herbs, watering crops, and harvesting fresh produce. It’s an enjoyable and interactive way for both children and adults to learn about daily life in rural Vietnam.
After the farming session, sit down for a fresh, home-cooked lunch prepared with ingredients grown right in the village. This meal is a delightful opportunity to sample local flavors directly from the garden. Throughout the day, you'll also gain insight into traditional farming methods passed down through generations. Return to Hoi An later in the day, with the rest of the afternoon free for relaxation or further exploration of the town.
This morning, between 07:45 and 08:00, your guide will collect you from the hotel for the drive to Ba Na Hills, a popular mountain resort known for its cooler climate, sweeping views, and family-friendly attractions. Upon arrival, board the cable car from Suoi Mo Station and enjoy a scenic ride up through forested hills, past waterfalls, and misty mountain landscapes.
Once at the summit, visit the famous Golden Bridge, one of Vietnam’s most recognizable landmarks. Suspended above the hills and held by giant stone hands, it’s an excellent spot for family photos and panoramic views. Continue to Jardin D’Amour, a beautifully landscaped garden filled with flowers, fountains, and themed sections, perfect for a relaxed stroll. Afterward, enjoy a buffet lunch featuring a wide range of Vietnamese and international dishes.
Spend the afternoon at Fantasy Park, an indoor entertainment complex with games, rides, and attractions suitable for both children and adults. Around 07:45, escape the city's hustle and bustle for a full-day adventure to Can Gio, a UNESCO-listed biosphere reserve renowned for its mangrove forests, diverse wildlife, and scenic riverside landscapes. Meet your guide and travel by comfortable air-conditioned vehicle to this unique coastal region outside Ho Chi Minh City.
Your first stop is Monkey United, home to hundreds of playful long-tailed monkeys living freely in the forest. Wander through the reserve and enjoy the opportunity to observe these curious creatures up close in their natural habitat. Continue to the Crocodile Farm, where you can learn about these impressive reptiles and witness their remarkable size and strength. Afterward, board a speedboat for an exhilarating ride through the winding waterways of the Mangrove Forest, cruising beneath lush green canopies and admiring the untouched beauty of Can Gio National Park while watching for local wildlife along the riverbanks.
