Thanh Hoa – Heritage, Beaches and Forest Trekking
Thanh Hoa Province is Vietnam's largest province and one of its most historically rich. Sam Son Beach (25 km from the city centre) is a popular summer resort for Vietnamese domestic tourists with a 16-km coastline. Pu Luong Nature Reserve is a hidden gem for trekking enthusiasts, offering pristine limestone forests, rice terrace valleys and traditional Thai and Muong villages largely untouched by mass tourism. The Lam Kinh Historical Relic was the secondary capital of the Le Dynasty (15th–18th century). 160 km south of Hanoi by road or 1.5-hour train ride.
