A one-day city tour and a two-week private journey do not belong in the same comparison. Use the duration group closest to your plan, then open individual products to compare inclusions.
Median per day is calculated from each product’s starting price divided by its stated duration. It is an inventory comparison, not a daily-spend allowance.

Vietnam cruise costs by sailing length
Day cruises, overnight bay cruises and long Mekong journeys have different pricing structures. Cabin category, occupancy, sailing date and transfer arrangements can change the final amount.
A cruise “starting price” may refer to an entry cabin or base occupancy. Confirm the cabin, passengers, date, transfers and single supplement before comparing offers.
| Sailing length | Programs | From | Typical middle 50% | Median | Median/day |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Vietnam day cruises A daylight bay experience without a cabin | 17 | $55 | $69–$89 | $69 | $69 |

What changes the final Vietnam trip cost?
Two itineraries with the same number of days can differ sharply because the services, route and booking conditions are not the same.
Travel dates and availability
Peak holidays, limited sailings and short booking windows can reduce lower-priced choices. Flexible dates usually make comparison easier.
Traveler count and room use
Private transport costs can be shared by a group, while solo travelers may face single-room or single-cabin supplements.
Hotel or cabin category
Location, room type, vessel, balcony, suite and occupancy often matter more than the broad “luxury” or “budget” label.
Route complexity
Domestic flights, remote regions, private boats and frequent one-night stops generally cost more than a slower route through fewer bases.
Included experiences
Guides, entrance fees, meals, transfers and private experiences must be compared line by line—not inferred from the headline price.
What sits outside the product
International flights, insurance, visa fees, personal spending and services before or after the itinerary may not be included.
How this price guide is calculated
- We reviewed all 265 published tours and 243 published cruise programs that currently have a positive starting price.
- The tour tables use 208 products assigned to the Vietnam Tours topical branch. The cruise tables use 236 Vietnam-relevant bay and Mekong programs, excluding Laos-only cruise categories.
- “Median” means half of the observed starting prices are below it and half are above it. “Typical middle 50%” is the 25th-to-75th percentile range.
- Prices are read from the published inventory and were checked on 05 Nov 2026. They can change when inventory is edited, and they remain orientation rather than a binding quote.
How to build your own Vietnam budget
- Choose the route and number of nights before choosing hotels.
- Use the matching duration band above to set a product-price reference.
- Open two or three relevant products and compare inclusions, exclusions, room/cabin assumptions and cancellation terms.
- Add international transport, insurance, visa, personal meals and spending only where they are not included.
- Request a dated quote with traveler count and room preferences before making a booking decision.
Important pricing note
A very low “from” price may represent a day trip, entry cabin, shared service or a limited date. A very high price may represent luxury rail, premium cabins or a long regional itinerary.
Do not compare headline prices without comparing duration and inclusions.
