The Dragon Eyes Cruise offers intimate journeys through the Mekong Delta on a traditional wooden boat, featuring two cabins for a personalized experience.

About the Dragon Eyes Cruise

The Dragon Eyes Cruise is a traditionally built wooden vessel designed to navigate the intricate network of canals throughout the Mekong Delta. Launched in 2009, this intimate boat features a shallow, slender hull, allowing it to access waterways that larger ships cannot, providing guests with a truly immersive exploration of the region.

Design and Atmosphere

With just two private cabins, the Dragon Eyes ensures an exclusive and personalized journey for a maximum of four guests, making it an ideal choice for couples, families, or small groups of friends. The vessel spans two thoughtfully arranged decks, offering around 100 square meters of space for guests to enjoy. The interiors and furnishings are crafted from tropical woods, creating a warm and inviting ambiance that reflects local artistry.

Cabin Experience

The main deck houses the two comfortable cabins, each measuring between 14 to 16 square meters. These retreats are equipped with individual air conditioning and fans, ensuring comfort. Large panoramic windows and a French balcony in each cabin provide unobstructed views of the Mekong River, allowing guests to observe the tranquil riverfront life from their private space.

Dining and Social Spaces

The upper deck serves as the social heart of the cruise, featuring a covered dining area and a small bar. Here, guests can savor freshly prepared meals while enjoying continuous scenic views. The sundeck offers an open-air space for relaxation, perfect for watching the river scenery pass by or enjoying a drink.

Voyages and Exploration

The Dragon Eyes specializes in two to three-day voyages across the Mekong Delta, connecting destinations like Cai Be and Can Tho, with options extending to Phnom Penh. These journeys are crafted for travelers seeking a deeper connection with the region's culture, landscapes, and authentic local life, offering a blend of on-board comfort and engaging land excursions.

Pure luxury on the emerald waters

From the moment we stepped aboard, everything was perfection. Our cabin was beautifully appointed with panoramic views of the limestone karsts. The crew anticipated our every need without being intrusive. Evening dinner on the sundeck under the stars was a highlight we will talk about for years. The cooking class was genuinely fun and educational. We came home with memories we will cherish forever.

Outstanding experience on iconic Vietnamese waters

I am not usually one to write reviews but I felt compelled to share what an extraordinary experience this was. Every detail was thought through – the local fruit welcome drink, the briefing about bay conservation, the optional sunrise tai chi on deck. We felt we were in genuinely good hands throughout. The kayaking into the dark cavern was terrifying and thrilling in equal measure.

Wonderful trip, nearly perfect from start to finish

A really enjoyable cruise experience. The cabins were beautifully designed and the attention to detail was impressive. The excursions were well organised and our guide was both informative and entertaining. The only slight disappointment was that the anchorage was busier than expected, though this was completely outside the operator's control. Everything else was excellent.

Worth every dollar – a genuine dream come true

From the welcome drink on arrival to the farewell breakfast, every moment was thoughtfully curated. The cruise struck the perfect balance between relaxation and adventure. Our cabin had a beautiful private balcony from which we watched the bay change colour at dawn. The food was some of the finest Vietnamese cuisine we encountered on our entire three-week trip.

Very good cruise with impressive highlights throughout

We had a great time and the scenery was absolutely breathtaking. The breakfast spread each morning was impressive and the chef clearly knows his craft. The complimentary welcome drink and cold towels on arrival set a great tone. Service dipped slightly during busy periods but the team were always smiling and willing to help. Would recommend to anyone visiting Vietnam.

The finest cruise experience of our lives

An absolute gem. We researched extensively before booking and this cruise outperformed every review we had read. The crew-to-guest ratio meant we always felt attended to without ever feeling crowded. The excursions were varied and well-paced. Watching the fishing village come alive at dusk from the water was a sight I will never forget. Simply outstanding.

Not bad, but not exceptional either

Three stars feels fair – some genuinely lovely moments, some disappointments. The staff were always polite and the setting is obviously world-class. The food ranged from excellent (the steamed fish with ginger) to quite poor (the breakfast buffet was limited and lukewarm). Kayaking through the lagoon was a wonderful experience. Worth doing, but higher standards would have been achievable at this price.

A perfect blend of nature, culture, and luxury

The scenery alone would make this cruise worth it, but the exceptional service takes it to an entirely different level. Our cabin steward kept our room in perfect condition and was always discreet. The dining team made excellent recommendations each evening and dietary requirements were handled without any fuss. A first-class experience from beginning to end.

Very enjoyable cruise with just a few minor niggles

An enjoyable and memorable experience. Highlights included the kayaking through the arches, the sunset cocktails, and the genuinely impressive seafood dinner. Our cabin was comfortable and the bathroom well-appointed. I'd have loved slightly more time at some of the scenic spots, but this is a small gripe in the context of an otherwise wonderful trip.

Vietnam's finest – cannot recommend highly enough

This cruise delivered on every promise and then some. The natural beauty of the bay is staggering, but what really sets this cruise apart is the quality of the team. From the chef to the housekeeping staff to the excursion guides, everyone was exceptional. The timetable was perfectly paced – never rushed, never boring. An absolute masterpiece of a journey.

Highly recommended with a couple of small reservations

Wonderful trip that came very close to perfection. The cabin was spacious and clean, and the daily fresh fruit arrangement was a lovely touch. Food quality was high – especially the seafood dishes. We would have appreciated slightly more flexibility in the excursion schedule as we felt a little rushed at one or two stops. That aside, an excellent cruise we would happily book again.

A once-in-a-lifetime adventure we will never forget

We have been planning this trip for three years and it lived up to every expectation. The scenery is jaw-dropping – no photograph really does it justice. The cabin was immaculate and the bed was the most comfortable we have slept in on any cruise. The sunset cocktail hour on the top deck is not to be missed. Book this cruise. You will not regret it for a single moment.

Great value and genuinely breathtaking scenery

We really enjoyed our time aboard and the scenery was every bit as spectacular as described. The cabin was comfortable and our steward was attentive and friendly. The food was generally very good, though the dinner menu on the second night felt a little repetitive. The sunset cruise on the upper deck was a real highlight. Overall a very positive experience and we would recommend it without hesitation.

A memorable trip with some excellent standout moments

Thoroughly enjoyed our time on the water. The cruise struck a good balance between organised activities and free time. Food was consistently good with a few genuinely excellent dishes standing out. The crew were attentive and the cabin comfortable. Small quibble: the wifi was quite slow, but given the remote location that is entirely understandable. Would recommend without hesitation.

Beautiful setting, but service was inconsistent

The bay itself is absolutely stunning and worth visiting by any means. Our reservations are with the cruise: the cabin was a little tired and due for some renovation, meal portions were small for the price, and the busy tour schedule left little time for simple relaxation. A reasonable introduction to the bay but we would compare other options before booking again.
